He was predeceased by: his parents, Forest M. McAtee and Doris Blankenship McAtee; his wife Heidemarie Hardt McAtee; and his brothers, Paul, Neil and Millard McAtee.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Bennett (Ginger) of Jane Lew, WV and Wilma Small (Tommy) of Buckhannon; his grandchildren, Christopher Small (April) of Buckhannon, Nicholas Lough of Jane Lew, Jace Bennett of Jane Lew and Rachel Tenney (Cody) of Buckhannon; his great grandchildren, Easton Tenney of Buckhannon, Noah of Buckhannon and Chase Small of Buckhannon; and his siblings, Cutch McAtee (Anita) of Milton, WV, Roger McAtee (Millie) of Buckhannon, J. K. McAtee (Christine) of Dunbar, WV, Dwanda Hewitt of Buckhannon and Jackie Herman (Tom) of McMurray, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his precious cats.
