He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Raymond Smith and Lucille Stanley Smith (Crow Hollow) of Elkton, VA. He is survived by: his wife Katherine M. Galope; his children, Richard, Jamie (Cheryl), Charlie (Jenny), Stevie, Jennifer (Mark), Karen (Chris), Candi (Dave) and Laura; and his grandchild Iann. He is also survived by 21 grand children, 12 great grandchildren.
