He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Stewart and Addie Stewart; his wife Irene Stewart; his son Arthur F. Stewart, Jr.; his brothers, Charles and Bobby Stewart; his son-in-law Roy Maynard; and his pets, Padge and Lucy.
He is survived by: his children, Cathy Maynard and Robert "Gene" (Linda Stewart); his daughter-in-law Diana Stewart; and his grandchildren, Julie Milbourne (Mike), Pam Norris, Kerri Lynch (Todd), Laura Whittington (Brian), Gary Lewis, Tracey Cenate (Mike), Stephanie Weant (Joey) and Jennifer Smith (Jaron). He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arthur chose to donate his body to science, The Human Gift Registry in Morgantown, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
