He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira S. Vandevender and Betty Sponaugle Vandevender; and his siblings, Ira June Vandevender and Ocie Thompson of Glady, WV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, a graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
