She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Mae and Lonnie Leslie McComas; and her siblings, Arnold, Eugene Cyril McComas, Norman Leslie McComas and Lorraine McComas Petrie.

She is survived by: her husband James Russell Elkins; her sisters, Barbara Lou Lamade and Anna Gay McGhee; and her children, James Randolph Elkins, Lisa Ann Wilcox and Leslie Ray Elkins.
