He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Davis and Ethel Vanscoy Davis; his wife Clara M. "Peggy" Roy Davis; his grandson Jarrett Blaine Davis; and his siblings, Robert Lewis Davis, Denver Lee Davis, Juanita and Patty Davis.
He is survived by: his sons, William Ray "Bill" Davis (Paula) of Hambleton, WV. and John Stephen Davis (Rosemarie) of Hambleton, WV.; his grandchildren, Justin K. Davis (Alycia Kline) of Montrose, WV and Ashley M. Davis (Darryl Johnson) of Cambridge, MA.; his great grandchildren, Jolene Davis and Lilly Davis of Montrose, WV.; his sisters, Rosalea Knotts of Hambleton, WV, Leah Booth of Hambleton, WV, Sharon Hinkle of Hambleton, WV, Kay Carr (Homer) of Hambleton, WV and Fay Carr (Billy); his siblings-in-law, Jessie Roy (Stub) of Elkins, WV, Alicia Davis of El Paso, TX and Ida Mae Cross of Glen Burnie, MD.; his nieces, Pamela Sue Roy Sexton (Marlin) of Parsons, WV and Patricia Ann Kyle Heeren (Donald) of Ft. Wayne, IN.; and his nephew D. Scott Roy (Jena) of Kerens.
