Velma R. Jordan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma R. Jordan of Hacker Valley, West Virginia, who passed away on August 16, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Cowger and Effie Hamrick Cowger; her former husband Jearl Curt Bender; her husband Edward Jink Jordan; her children, Herbert Bender, Ervin David Bender and Mary Mills; her son-in-law Jeff Mills; and her grandsons, TJ Clark and Landon Levi Garrett, III.

She is survived by: her children, Edward Bender (Brenda) of Chesterfield, VA, Ernie Bender of North Chesterfield, VA, Marvin Bender (Rebecca) of Hacker Valley, Andrew Bender (Heather) of Hacker Valley, Linda Mayle (Dewayne) of Clarksburg, Geretta Pugh (Wallace) of Hacker Valley, Connie Clark (Tom) of Charleston, Renita Crowe (Bobby) of South Chesterfield, VA, Joan Williams (Frankie) of Hacker Valley and Desta Harvey (Dalton) of Frederick, MD; her daughters-in-law, Alice Bender of Hobbs, NM and Betty Bender of Belington; her stepsons, Rodney Jordan (Terri) of Lewisburg and Randall Jordan (Vickie) of Hacker Valley; her siblings, Emery Cowger of Nutter Fort, Vauna Cogar of North Canton, OH, Vada Barnett of Mogadore, OH and Anetha Woods of Buckhannon; and her friend Coco. She is also survived by 38 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren.
