It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edna Simmons of Hacker Valley, West Virginia, who passed away on November 15, 2020, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper Newton and Roena Cowger Carpenter; her husband Waymon Simmons; her son-in-law Harold Riffle; and her siblings, Opha, Hubert Carpenter, Macil Simmons, Alta Cogar and Bertha Simmons.
She is survived by: her daughters, Reva Williams (Wilbert) of Hacker Valley, Della Riffle of Canal Fulton, OH, Loreda Brown of Youngstown, OH and Louise Fisher (Ralph) of Wellsville, OH; her stepdaughter Eileen Hite; her son Larry Simmons of Hacker Valley; her grandchildren, Roy, Rosetta, Beverly, Connie, Kevin, Lorie, Rick, Duane, Debbie, Donna, Larry Jr., Scott, Tony, Michael and Tammy; and her siblings, Olen Carpenter of Hacker Valley, Alma Anderson of Hacker Valley, Goldie Cool of Morgantown and Margie Cutlip (Wilber) of Cleveland. She is also survived by several step-grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Redeeming Grace Baptist Church at 305 South Main Street Webster Springs, WV 26288.
