He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles I. Shahan and Sadie Pearl Ludwick Shahan; his children, Charles D. Shahan and Baby Girl Shahan; and his brothers, Alva Shahan (Doris), Maurice Shahan (Sandy), Jay Shahan and Arthur Shahan (Brenda).
He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Fisher Shahan; his children, Karen Carcell (Anthony) of Geneva, OH, Michael Shahan (Becky) of Granite City, IL, Timothy Shahan (Doreen) of Hubbard, OH and Jeffrey Shahan (Dianne) of Jasper, GA; and his siblings, Mildred Zasadzinski (Edward), Mary Johnson (Robert), Alice Good (Thomas), Dorothy Kerbel (Robert) and Alan Shahan (Barbara). He is also survived by six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
