He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Tate and Grace Ruby Owens Tate; his wife Donna Marie Tate; and his brothers, Harry "Bub" Owens and Norman Tate.
He is survived by: his sons, Dave Tate (Melissa) of Mannington, Joe Tate (Sara) of Jordan, MT and Kenny Tate (Michelle Minutelli) of Fairmont; his grandchildren, Devin Tate, Davina Tate, David Tate, Davin Tate, Josie Tate, Abby Tate, Nico Tate and Christian Comas; and his siblings, Susie Hern of Gypsy, Ron Tate (Aleisia) of Gypsy and Jim Tate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Avenue Fairmont, WV 26554.
