He was predeceased by: his parents, Sidney Ballard Thomas and Beulah Surface Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Betty Wygal Thomas; his children, Pam Thomas of Alexandria, VA, Jeff Thomas (Lynette) of Morgantown, WV and Paula Ellison (Bert) of Greenville, WV; his grandchildren, Tanner Thomas (Alison) of Suffolk, VA, Kaysey Thomas (CJ) of Brooklyn, NY and Erin Ellison of Greenville, WV; his sister Peggy Wilson (Hugh) of Greenville, WV; his nieces, Debra Neel of Greenville, WV and Deana Wills (Dane) of Peterstown, WV; and his stepgrandchildren, Angie Mann (Kenny) and Jessie Waldron (Woody) of Greenville, WV..
