She was predeceased by: her parents, John Adkins and Norma Adkins (Staley); her husband Jess Grimmett, Sr.; her son Jess "Pudgie" Grimmett, Jr.; and her siblings, Brady Adkins, Minnie Browning and Glenda Adkins.

She is survived by: her children, Gail, Rocky Grimmett (Anita) and Anissa "Tiny" Thompson (Eddie) of Greenville; her daughter-in-law Monica Perry of Lyburn; her siblings, Dewey Adkins (Bessie) of Toney, Silas Adkins (Loretta) of Hamlin, Jo Ann Barrett of West Hamlin and Patricia Akers (Junie) of Columbus, OH; her grandchildren, Amanda (Jeremy Bowen), Jessie (Rob Lee), Ashlie (John Workman), Bethany (Aaron Sincell), Justin (Brianna Isaacs), Kaylie Ann Meade and Jon (Kelli Grimmett); her great grandchildren, Abbi Lowe, Carter Bowen, Jesslyn Workman, Declan Bartram, Aiden Sincell, Ryker Workman, Justin Cruze Isaacs and Jackson River Isaacs; and her granddaughter Whitney Wright. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
