He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Trent and Stella Trent; his wife Anna Trent (Meade); and his stepchildren, Ray Siffles, Ronnie Siffles, Misty Napier and Kayla Clay.
He is survived by: his sons, Dewey Trent (Penny Duclos) and Davey Trent (Lorene) of Huntington; his grandchildren, Scott Earnest of Greenville, Beth Earnest of Greenville, Asher Trent, Laveah Justice, Colten Trent, Julianna Trent, Daphne Hendricks and Brylie Dotson; his great grandchildren, Emma Earnest, Easton Earnest and Cain Ellis; and his siblings, Saundra Cozart, Linda Browning (Danny), Walter Trent (Thelma "Bugs"), Doug Trent (Lynndora) and Marshall Trent (JoAnn). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Hunt Freewill Baptist Tabernacle. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery (130 Academy Dr, Dunbar, WV 25064).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made directly to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
