She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Merkel and Margaret "Betty" Merkel; and her brothers, Bill and Tom Merkel. She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Corbin, Carol Dawson and Darrell Merkel; and her children, Ivadene Deffenbaugh and Kevin LaBonte. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and one amazing great grandchild.
