He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Barney and Effie Mae Beddow Palmer; and his siblings, Hilda Mae Clark, Betty Lou Haines and Charles William "Bill" Palmer.
He is survived by: his sisters, Eleanor Zimmerman of Hancock, MD and Shirley Jean Palmer of Inwood, WV; his nephew James; and his niece Teri Wilbourne.
