It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cathy Ann Smith of Great Cacapon, West Virginia, born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gary and Hester Elizabeth Ayers Waltermyer; her husband Douglas Eugene Smith, Sr.; and her siblings, Helen Agee, Alice Watson, Dorothy Meloney, John Alton Waltermyer and James Gary Waltermyer.
She is survived by: her children, Douglas Eugene Smith, Jr. of Berkeley Springs, Frank Anthony Smith Sr. of Tera Alta, WV, Wendy Lynn Smith of Great Cacapon and Edward Bujanowski of Great Cacapon; her grandchildren, Brittney Spurlock of Frederick, MD, Brandi Scott of Berkeley Springs, Ashley Moon of Romney, WV and Frank Anthony Smith, Jr. of Romney, WV; and her great grandchildren, Eli Fox, Dominic Fox, Raelyn Castle, Remington Smith and Bailey Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
