James Whiteford Alford Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 23, 2025, at the age of 88, James Whiteford Alford of Grassy Meadows, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Parker Heyward, Sr. and Lila Maude Alford (Brown); his wife Diana Alford (Forren); and his siblings, Parker Heyward Alford, Jr., Shirley Brower, Virginia Lee Alford and Lenora Hendrick.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Alford (Tammy) of Grassy Meadows and Cynthia Alford of Grassy Meadows; his brother Oren Alford of Conway; his grandchildren, James M. Alford (Jennifer) of Harrodsburg, Heather Williams (Jesse) of Elizabeth City, Heaven Stewart of Grassy Meadows and Kylie Alford of Salem, Arkansas; and his great grandchildren, James R. Alford, Emma Kate Alford, Jase L. Williams, Cole Williams and Oakley L. Swarthout. He is also survived by extended family, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Meadow Grove Baptist Church (1829 Dawson-Springdale, Grassy Meadows, WV 25962). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
