He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Allen Fitzwater and Hilda June Lewis Fitzwater; his brothers, Jimmy Fitzwater and Daniel Fitzwater; and his stepsiblings, Shirley, Merlin and Thelma.
He is survived by: his wife Nila Joyce Burns Fitzwater; his sons, Thomas Fitzwater of Delaware and Jonathan Fitzwater of Delaware; his granddaughters, Taylor of Delaware and Natalie Fitzwater of Delaware; his siblings, Harold Fitzwater (Glenda) of Delaware, Dorothy Burton (Walter) of Maryland and Wanda Bryant of Ohio; his stepdaughters, Christy Estep of Charleston and Melody Loudermilk of Clintonville; and his brother-in-law Jay Burns of Clintonville. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
