He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Clarence and Juanita Patricia Uphold (Hines); his wife Judy Uphold; his sister Janice Denjen; and his niece Jillyen Uphold.
He is survived by: his children, Packy Joe Uphold (Lisa) of Greensboro, PA and Jamie Myers; his grandchildren, Teala, Brandon, Tyler and Gavin Uphold; and his siblings, Carol "Cookie" McDonald (John) of Granville, Gene Uphold (Melissa) of Bobtown, PA, Paul Thomas Uphold (Sheila) of Westover, Kevin Uphold of Morgantown and Tia Dawn Uphold of Morgantown. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
