He was predeceased by: his parents, Lennie Metz Sr. and Leona Eddy Metz; his siblings, Lewis Metz and Delores Whited; his stepson Todd Erlewine; and his friend Eursel Roberts.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Erlewine Metz; his children, Michelle "Shelly" Metz of Fredericksburg, VA, Michael Metz of Five Forks, WV and Jason Metz of Five Forks, WV; his stepchildren, Scott Erlewine (Susan) of Columbia, SC, Melanie Henderson (Jeff Cunningham) of Big Bend, WV and Leslie Erlewine of Convington, GA; his siblings, Bob Metz (Linda) of Rockport, WV, Sharon Wilson (Carl) of Parkersburg, Karen Reed (Alvin) of Parkersburg and Lennie Metz, Jr. (Nancy) of Big Bend, WV; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Best Buddy and Steve Trimble. He is also survived by eight step-grandchildren.
