He is survived by: his wife Bessie Metz Basnett; his children, Shannon (Michael) and Warren Basnett of Grantsville, WV; his grandchildren, Christopher (Amber Allen), Taylor Basnett (Ashton Davis) of Parkersburg, WV and Mackenzie Basnett of Grantsville, WV; and his siblings, Gloria Vannoy of Grantsville, WV, Sue Arthur (Jim) of Mt. Zion, WV, Fred Basnett, Jr. (Barb) of Grantsville, WV and Roger Basnett of Grantsville, WV.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc.-Grantsvile (107 Market St, Grantsville, WV 26147). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
