He is survived by: his mother Rosemary Byrne (DiIorio) of Hightstown, NJ; his children, Bernadette Rowe (Doug) of Memphis, NY, Rob Byrne (Laura) of Barto, PA, Joseph Byrne (Kelly) and Christopher Byrne (Joanna) of Memphis, NY; his wife Cheryl Lewallen; and his siblings, Patty Connor (Walter), Collen McGinley (Jim), Theresa Heffernan (Patrick), Paul Byrne (Astrid), Mary Ann Field (Scott), Kathy Field Mark (Stuart), Jeffrey Byrne (Lisa), Lisa Byrne and Christopher Byrne. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
