He was predeceased by: his father Carroll Sylva Sr.. He is survived by: his mother Imogene Sylva (Myers); his wife Janet Slaton; his children, Ricky J. Sylva, Jr. Grafton (Michelle), Daniel R. Sylva Fairmont (Lanessa), Megan Sylva Grafton, Jessica McMaster Grafton (Davy), Amber Sylva and Kashia Sylva; his grandchildren, Jaylon, Isaiah, Tationia, Keara, Caiden, Ricky, Josiah, Joclyn, Amara, Rylan and Alayiah; and his brother Carroll "Pete" Sylva.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his funeral care fund on his memorial site.
