She was predeceased by: her parents, Mahlon Henderson and Ruth Steinbeck; her husband Paul E. Elder; and her sons, Paul E. "Buck" Elder II and Matthew Elder.
She is survived by: her daughter Amy Summers (Rod) of Flemington, WV; her grandchildren, Sarah Gallagher (Matthew) of Charleston, WV, Molly Summers (Geno Catalano) of Sherman Oaks, CA and Zachary Summers (Katie) of Odessa, TX; her great grandchild Amos Gallagher; and her sister Nancy Elkins (Emory) of Longmont, CO..
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made in her name to the Taylor County Public Library, 200 Beech Street, Grafton WV 26354.
