He is survived by: his children, Eric B. Taylor of Florence, KY and Jennifer J. Higgins of Avon, IN; his grandchildren, Alyssa C. M. Marsh, Brandon E. Taylor of Temple City, CA, Connie S. Sorlie of Terre Haute, IN, Zachary N. L. Heavrin of Camby, IN, Alexis R. Higgins of Avon, IN and Johnny R. L. Higgins of Avon, IN; his sister Leona Dawson of Fairmont, WV; and his brother-in-law Alva "Buck" Stevens. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
