He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis S. May and Mary Virginia Huffman May; his wife Isabelle Catherine "Cathy" Leggett Williams; his sister Mary Ellen Rowan; and his brother-in-law James Arnold Rowan.
He is survived by: his son Joseph "Joey" May; and his siblings, Julia Daff (Gary) and John May (Pat). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
