He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Rosco and Vera Muriel Reed Heavner; his wife Violet Dale Fitzwater Heavner; and his siblings, Betty McCourt, Margaret Dotson, Helen Marlene Keener, Darrel Heavner and Marion "Gene" Heavner.
He is survived by: his daughter Melissa Heavner O'Neil (Bill); his stepson Kenneth C. Gifford III; his grandchildren, William "Billy" O'Neil and Kristen O'Neil; and his siblings, Kathryn Dunbar, Edith Garner (John) and Stephen Franklin Heavner (Dee). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
