He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur S. Keener and Sarah Catherine Frye Keener; his wife Romona "Siann" Mayle Keener; his daughter Virginia "Jenny" Gower; and his siblings, Mary Jo Shultz, Ruth Keener, Ethel Marie Keener, Kenneth Ray Keener, Dorwood Keener and Charles Keener.
He is survived by: his sons, Hartsel Keener (Kali), Bartsel Keener (Angel), John Keener (Karah) and Joseph Keener (Mallory); and his grandchildren, Tyler Keener, Bethany Keener, Connor Gower, Blake Gower, Dustin Keener, Gracie Keener, Gage Keener, Kaden Keener, Kenna Keener, Ella Keener, Penelope Keener and Hudson Keener. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
