He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Rutherford and Opal F. Rutherford (Wiseman); his brother John L. Rutherford; and his niece Debra Mullins. He is survived by: his sister Carrie Ann Fitzwater of Grafton, WV; his nieces, Judy Young and Beverly Lucas; his nephew James Fitzwater of Grafton, WV; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Rhiannon, Cade, Joshua, Amber, Derek, Jeremiah, Little John, Becky, Priscilla and Jamie.
