He is survived by: his father Kenneth Robert Johnston of Trafford, PA; his sons, Ayden Robert Johnston and Cayden Andrew Johnston; his mother Charlotte Jane Johnston (Whipkey) of Morgantown, WV.; his sisters, Andrea Jane Baer (Brett) of Grapeville, PA and Amanda Aimee Wilson (Luke) of Moatsville, WV; his grandmother Judy Schwarzel (Fike) of Delmont, PA; his uncles, Jim Johnston (Kelly), Mark Johnston (Laura), Jamie Kromer and Donald Whipkey (Debbie); his nieces and nephews, Leslie Brown, William Geier, Gunner Wilson, Trenton Baer, Sophia Baer and Knucklehead; his great-nephew John Eisaman; and his cousins, Dawn, Justus, Chloe Mollahan, Jordan, Emily, Kara, Nicholas, Hannah Johnston and Jean Claude Stryffeler (Terri).
