He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Slaton and Shirley Roger Slaton; his daughter Patricia; his son-in-law Bob Shirley; and his son Timothy Slaton.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Lee Murray Slaton; his son Chris Slaton (Melissa); his grandson Gavin Slaton; and his aunts, Mary Slaton and Grafton.
