He was predeceased by: his father Allan; and his sisters, Diane Moyer and Barbara Berry. He is survived by: his wife Delores Beavers Myers; his children, Michael P. Myers, Wendy L. Poling and Allan R. Poling (Norma); his grandchildren, Colby, Issac and Caden; his siblings, Charlotte Shahan (Gary), Cindy Shumaker (Tom), Peggy Reed (Warren), Terry Myers (Wanda) and James Myers (Gail); and his siblings-in-law, Barb Smith (Henry) and Chuck Beavers (Virginia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
