She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Luther Myers and Dencie June Wolfe Myers; her son Ricky Sylva; her granddaughter Megan Sylva Shaw; and her siblings, Betty Myers and John Myers.

She is survived by: her son Carroll "Pete" Sylva, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Christian, Ashley, Christopher, Ricky, Alice Jean "Jeannie", Jessica "Jessie", Danny, Amber and Kashia. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
