She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cerne and Thelma Verlyn Cerne (Summerfield); and her aunts, Vera Bradshaw and Shirley Stemple. She is survived by: her husband Alvin R. "Dick" Layman; her daughter Brittany D. Layman; and her brothers, Dick Cerne of Ashtabula, OH and Roger Cerne.
