He is survived by: his parents, Lester Spurlock and Maude Scarberry Spurlock; his wife Nancy Trippett Spurlock of Glenwood, WV; his children, David Spurlock (Tonya) of Lesage, WV and Karen Mayes of Apple Grove, WV; his granddaughters, Dava Alt (Adam), Corey Batey (Josh) and Samantha Linville; his siblings, Peggy Knapp (Garland) of Lesage, WV, Annetta Short (Jerry) of Glenwood, WV and Gary Spurlock (Gail) of Ona, WV; and his sisters-in-law, Ann, Eva, Peggy Spurlock, June Brumfield and Phyllis Pinkerman (Alva). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
