He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Watkins and Willie Watkins; and his granddaughter Crystal Watkins. He is survived by: his wife Miriam Hogan Watkins; his children, Cindy Van Coughnett (Randy) and Steve Watkins; his daughter-in-law Sandy Wyrick Watkins; his brother Ralph Watkins (Brendia); and his grandsons, Keith Watkins, Craig Watkins, Jason Van Coughnett and Scott Van Coughnett.
