She was predeceased by: her parents, George H. Massey and Rose Ella Christian Massey; and her siblings, George Massey Jr., Samuel Massey Sr., Mary Lou Atwell and Shirley Kidd.

She is survived by: her children, Max B. Groves Sr., Bryan Groves Jr. of Dusk Camp, Karen Forsythe (David) of Dusk Camp and Patricia Knicely (Kelvin) of Low Gap, WV; her grandchildren, James Blankenship (Laiken) of Red House, WV, Cody Blankenship of Red House and Chelsea Knicely (Mark Cordle) of Low Gap; her sister Patricia Waugh of Cleveland, OH; and her niece Rosana Redden of Fayetteville, WV.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that a memorial contribution can be made in her name to Sand Fork Church of God, PO Box 320, Sand Fork, WV 26430 or a local Church of your choice in honor of her lifelong Christian walk.
