Josephine left this world on December 30, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucile Sumpter Gerwig and Orville Gerwig; her brother Dane K. Gerwig; and her grandson Bryan Slaughter. She is survived by: her husband Rolland Clark Coberly; her daughters, Rolanna Gumm (John P.) of Glenville and Becky Slaughter (Denzil) of Morgantown; and her grandchildren, Landon Gumm (Carissa), Michaela Moore (Jessy), Larkin Slaughter (Kate), Carrie Kipp (David), Adrianna Wanstreet (Tyler) and Deiland Slaughter (Cara). She is also survived by five great grandchildren and two on the way; and two nephews.
A burial was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Roach Funeral Home (708 Braxton St, Gassaway, WV 26624).
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Frederick Gerwig Memorial Cemetery, c/o Mary Alice McMillion, 86 Tonkin Drive, Gassaway, WV.
