He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Mike Kovar and Mabel Jones Kovar; his brothers, David John Kovar and Tommy L. Kovar; and his son-in-law David Wayne Wiant.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Noe Kovar; his daughters, Alisa Marie Wiant (Chris Bumgardner) of Glen Falls and Michelle Ann Clark (Roger) of North View; his grandchildren, Cody Wiant, David Wiant, Jr., Ryan Blankenship, Zackary Blankenship and Maddix Wiant; his great grandchild Riley Noel Stewart Wiant; his siblings, Daniel J. Kovar (Simone) of Glen Falls and Natula Rose Echard (Orville, Jr.) of Falconer, NY; and his close friend Denny Matthey (Carl Kovar). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
