He was predeceased by: his significant other Hazel Brown Edelman; his parents, Carl Edelman and Loreda Bower Edelman; and his brother Lowell Tennyson Edelman. He is survived by: his children, Suzette Breeden (JL) of Glasgow, Beth Burke (David) of League City, TX, Deane Edelman (Rose) of South Riding, VA, Curtis Edelman (Tammy) of Shrewsbury and Glen Edelman of Glasgow; his grandchildren, Jamie Breeden (Shanna), Andrea Petry (Craig), Joshua Burke (Sarah), Daniel Burke (Morgan), Elijah Edelman and Tennyson Edelman; his great grandchildren, Jacob Petry, Eli Petry, Rylee Taylor, Kaylee Breeden, Bryson Breeden, Jaylee Breeden, Olivia Burke, Savannah Burke and Blayke Burke; and his caregivers, Shanna, Sandy, Jessica, Donna and Sally.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hughes Creek Community Church, Hugheston, WV 25110 where Shelly generously gave his time and effort to help build the church or to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV 25311 who lovingly cared for him in his final days.
