She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joe A. Hambrick and Frances Keaton Hambrick; her husband Fred Ellis; her daughter Cara Ellis (Brenton D. Pannell); her granddaughter Jordyn Ellis; and her siblings, Glenna Keaton, Reverend Bobby Hambrick (Vera) and Reverend Dana Hambrick (Shirley). She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Airport Road Church of God, Bluefield, WV.
