We are sad to announce that on May 1, 2020, at the age of 74, Helen L. Gess (Gerrardstown, West Virginia), born in Winchester, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joshua G. Place and Goldie V. Whitacre Place; and her brothers, Fremont, Edward and David Place.
She is survived by: her children, William Todd Gess of Winchester, VA, Michael Wayne Gess of Gerrardstown, WV and Cathy Lynn DeHaven Sencindiver (Randal) of Inwood, WV; and her granddaughter Michaela L. Sencindiver.
A graveside service will be held at the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, 620 Chapel Hill Road, Cross Junction, VA 22625 on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM, but we ask that you maintain a six-foot distance in order to comply with COVID-19 regulations.
