He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Vaughn Bales and Margaret Bales (Lewis); and his wife Angie Moore Bales. He is survived by: his children, Don Lewis Bales, Jr. of Union, KY, Debra Ann Chavous of Evans, GA and Margaret Luann McCarty of Jones Springs; and his sister Leslie V. Burckard of Paulina, OR.. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
