He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ramey and Ethel Ramey; his former wife Marie Ramey; his brothers, Darrell Ramey, David Ramey and Don Ramey; and his stepson James Minnes Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ramey; his children, Diana Ramey (Rebecca Ramey), W. Va and Rodney Ramey of Kenova; his stepchildren, Starlena Riggsby, Vernon Wilson, Jr., Robert Allen Wilson and Katrina Wilson; his siblings, Carolyn Chandler (Scott) of Wayne and Carlos Ramey (Tammy) of Genoa; and his close friends, Kenneth Conn, Norman Webb and Willis Mills. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren.
