He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Duncan and Alice Maysel Jackson Duncan; his brothers, Thomas Duncan and Roger Duncan; his wife Betty Brown; and his stepdaughter Autumn Means.

He is survived by: his siblings, Susan Woods (James) of Nicut, Everett Duncan of Nicut and Calvin Duncan (Bonnie) of Front Royal, Virginia.; his nieces and nephews, William Duncan, Tracy Cottrell, Anna Duncan, Kimberly Duncan, Angela Lamb, Katherine Bennett and Kayla Andrews; and his stepchildren, Clinton Means and Jocelyn Sheares.
