He was predeceased by: his father John Richard Mitchell, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Ann Nutter Mitchell; his children, John Richard Mitchell III, Michelle Mitchell and Jocelyn Mitchell; his sister Julie Mitchell Wazelle; and his stepdaughter Andrea Thompson (Justin). He is also survived by five grandchildren.
