Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Crayton Criner and Louise Virginia Kelly Criner; his wife Carol Ann Sanders Criner; and his sisters, Shirley Brannon and Wilma Hurd.
He is survived by: his son Tim Criner (Amanda) of Flatwoods; and his brother Rick Criner of Gassaway. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Roach Funeral Home (708 Braxton St, Gassaway, WV 26624). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
