She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Smarr and Lidia Dobbins Smarr; her daughter Barbara Chaney; and her siblings, Chester Smarr and Letha Smith.

She is survived by: her granddaughter Erica Chaney Koenig of Oregon; her great grandchildren, Wolfgang Sebastian Koenig and Leopold Xavier Koenig; her son-in-law Dan Chaney of New Mexico; and her sister Virgie Best of Gassaway.
