She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Wilson and Ella Frame Wilson; her husband John D. Schiefer; and her siblings, Norman Wilson and Jessie Hart.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Schiefer and Nancy Johnson (Keith); her grandchildren, Ali (Mitch) and Chris; and her great grandchild Chloe. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
