He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Greathouse and Vera McMowery Greathouse; his wife Rosetta Ables Greathouse; and his son Robert Ables. He is survived by: his children, Bernard Greathouse Jr. (Cheryl) of Grantsville, Kimberly Demastus of Gassaway, James "Rusty" Greathouse of Gassaway and Jackie Rader (Woody) of Flatwoods; and his brother Jimmy Greathouse of New Cumberland, WV. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
